2005 Nagano Marathon - Finish line

Congratulations to all participants in the 2005 Nagano Marathon! About 85 foreign athletes participated in the event.

Full size of each photo is about 8 inches (20 cm) wide and 72 dpi. If you are one of the athletes pictured here & would like an original copy, please send me an e-mail & I'll get it off to you. A 5 megapixel camera was used; original photos measure about 36" wide by 24" high (91cm X 69 cm) which is too big to put here. All photos are free when I email them to you.

...cross that finish line & your friends and family will be waiting there for you in the stadium! These fans are at the best meeting point for athletes, friends & family. If you want to sit right by the fence, get there early. Binoculars would be useful - you can see the athlete's race # & face as they enter the stadium.

     A big thanks to all the friends & family members who came to Nagano. Your support of the runners is greatly appreciated, and it is fantastic to see you at the finish!

Exit the stadium and turn around - this is the view.

Finishers can pick up drinks in the tunnel before exiting the stadium. Bag pickup will be easy to see from here.

       Lines for the busses will be at the peak about 5 to 6 hours after the start of the race. Waiting in line for 15 minutes after running a marathon isn't so fun. Avoid the peak by getting on a bus right after getting your bag & checking out the festivities and food vendors outside the stadium.

The stadium seating IS handicap accessible.
